
Boyd Jensen received a Bachelor’s Degree from CSUS, with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Journalism. He earned a Master’s Degree from CSUS, majoring in Art, History and Theory.
Boyd is currently retired, but worked for the Aerojet-General Corporation as a Photographer-Motion Analyst, taking high speed movies of rocket tests (1957-1969). He spent the majority of his career as a Graphic Artist/Photographer for KOVR-TV, Sacramento (1969-1987). Boyd has taught numerous photography courses to thousands of students at Sacramento City College, CSUS, and Cosumnes River College (1980-2001).
Boyd Jensen’s artistic body of work over a 50 year career includes: “Begin With Love, a slide show for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the first production from a stake of the Church to be distributed worldwide. “The Californias” for the California Department of Tourism; used throughout the world to increase tourism in California.
“Sacramento Illustrated” a 24 projector slide show depicting the history of Sacramento; shown for three years in the Old Eagle Theater.
Boyd produced multi-media productions for clients such as Sears Roebuck, Primary Children’s Hospital, Los Rios Community College District and the United Way. His Company, Jensen and Price, did the advertising for the Sacramento Kings for five years.
Sacramento Advertising Club Awards include a Gold Award for best billboard (1983); Gold Award, Best Still Photography (1984); Gold Award, Best Self Promotion, “Newswatch 13 Talks To You”, News Mini-series (1984); and Silver Award, Magazine Advertising, “Newswatch 13″ (1984)
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Boyd has served as Stake Young Men’s President, Stake Activities Committee Chairman, High Councilor, Bishop, Stake Presidency Counselor, Senior Missionary at the Hill Cumorah Historic Sites, and Senior Missionary to the Museum of Church History and Art.
Boyd and his late wife, Diane, were married for over 50 years and have 7 children and 34 grandchildren.

Richard W. Montgomery was born and raised in Heber City, Utah. His father was a cattle rancher and Richard spent his early years working on the ranch. Both his paternal and maternal ancestors were some of the first settlers in the Heber Valley in the early 1850’s. His paternal grandfather came from Scotland to the Heber Valley at the age of four with his parents and as a grown man used to haul freight from the Salt Lake Valley to the Uintah Basin. The return load was always cedar posts cut from the many cedar trees in that area and which were used in the many fences in the early settlement.
Richard graduated from Wasatch High School in Heber City and later from Utah State University in Logan Utah. He was on an Air Force scholarship at the University and upon graduation was immediately called to active duty and into pilot training. He spent 28 years either on active duty or in other direct duty assignments. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Along the way he earned a Masters of Business Administration degree.
Richard has held numerous positions of leadership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Bishop for 12 years and a Stake President for 10 years. He also served as Director of Public Affairs for the Sacramento Multi-Stake Public Affairs Council for over eight years. He has served over 10 years on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Interfaith Service Bureau, an organization of leaders representing the numerous faiths in the Sacramento Area, four of those years as the president of the Bureau.
He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Service Bureau as well as on the Board of the California Pioneer Heritage Foundation

Bruce F. Anderson was born in Glendale, California, and was raised in San Gabriel, California. Bruce is a third generation Californian and a graduate of Brigham Young University in 1976 with a B.A degree in Political Science and a minor in International Relations. Married to Nancy Ashby, in 1974, in the Oakland Temple, they are the parents of four children and 2 grandchildren.
He currently serves as C.E.O. and President of Anderson Marketing, Inc. in Sacramento, California. Anderson Marketing is a nationally ranked promotional products, premium and advertising specialty firm. He began his business career in 1976, joining the family business after graduating from BYU. Bruce has served on various community boards and has been involved in various political activities over the last thirty years. In 2005, he was inducted into the NBA’s Sacramento Kings Sixth Man Hall of Frame.
Bruce has served in various positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including a mission to London England, Bishop’s Counselor, Stake Executive Secretary, Bishop, Stake Mission President, and Counselor for thirteen years in the California Sacramento Mission Presidency. He is currently serving on the High Council in the Folsom California Stake, working with Family History and Public Affairs.

Larry F. Brasher was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Following high school he served a mission in Finland. He received a BA in business management from the University of Utah in 1972 and a Juris Doctor from the same university in 1975. Beginning in the 4th grade and throughout his school years Larry studied Russian. While attending college he served in the 142nd Military Intelligence Linguist Company of the Utah National Guard.
In 1970 Larry married Anne Hansen in the Salt Lake Temple. They have seven children and e 18 grandchildren From 2003-2005 Anne and Larry served a mission together in Kiev, Ukraine and Vladivostok, Russia, where Larry also served as the district president.
While in school Larry began working for the Salt Lake Auto Auction, a family business started by his father in 1949. Following law school he decided to continue in the auto auction business. In 1978, they acquired the Sacramento Auto Auction. Larry and Anne relocated to California. Subsequently the family acquired four more auto auctions in Eugene, Oregon; Portland, Oregon; Reno, Nevada; and Boise, Idaho. Larry served as CEO of the parent organization, West Coast Auto Auctions until 2003. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors. He is also a past president of the National Auto Auction Association.
In addition to his missions, Larry has served in several Bishoprics, both as a counselor and as a Bishop; high counselor; seminary teacher; in several Elder’s quorum presidencies; ward and stake mission leader; ward and stake Young Men’s president. He and Anne have both served as ordinance workers in the Oakland and Sacramento, Temples. Larry also served as an assistant recorder in the Sacramento Temple. Currently they are both ordinance workers in Sacramento, and nursery leaders in the ward.

John Stone was born and raised in California. He and his wife, LaDawn, have four sons and have resided in El Dorado Hills since 1999. Both John and LaDawn are active in their church, school, scouting unit and local youth sports organizations. John is a frequent coach for football and basketball teams and serves on the Board of Directors for the Positive Coaching Alliance in Sacramento.
After completing high school in Modesto, California, John served a full-time church mission in Campinas, Brazil. He then continued his education and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in economics from Brigham Young University with a minor in Portuguese. He later earned his MBA from Harvard University.
John currently runs Freepath, a Folsom-based company that provides presentation software. Freepath is one of several ventures funded by Showcase Ventures, which John founded to promote media technologies, educational programs and family entertainment. John is the executive producer of “Down and Derby”, a motion picture comedy released theatrically in 2005 and on DVD in January 2006. Previously, John was a Vice President for Apple Computer after its acquisition of PowerSchool, an educational software company he co-founded in 1999. In addition, John worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company in San Francisco and a corporate finance analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. in New York City.

Dennis Amaral grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and is a third generation native Californian. He graduated from Washington High School in Fremont then attended Merritt College in Oakland, California and the University of California in Berkeley, California.
Dennis has always been an avid reader and researcher of local history his specialty being the pre and post Gold Rush era in California and Nevada. During his research he has collected and read numerous historical books, journals, records and documents pertaining to this era of time.
Utilizing this research he is currently finishing a driving guide and historical book on the Mormon Emigrant Trail in El Dorado County, which will be finished this year.
He and his wife, Antonia, devote time as volunteer docents in Coloma, Old Town Sacramento, Sutter’s Fort, Clarksville, Colombia, Genoa Nevada and Virginia City Nevada. In addition to these duties they also participate in presentations given for local historical groups, churches and schools. Often times they use a team of horses and historic wagons as aids in their presentations as well as bringing artifacts and being attired in period correct clothing.
He currently resides in Pilot Hill, California with his lovely wife, children and some grandchildren. Some of the organizations and recognitions that he has received are listed here.

Lisa West was born in Sacramento, California and has lived in the area all of her life, except for a two-year stint in Los Angeles. She is a second generation Californian and a graduate of Heald Business College in Business Administration. She is currently attending college in Sacramento pursuing a communications degree.
Her prior work history includes advertising and publicity at 20th Century Fox Film Studios, community affairs specialist for KRAK Radio. She recently left her family-owned construction company where she worked from 1993 until 2009. She is currently self-employed and has a political website titled RevereTimes.com.
Lisa is active in community service projects, political campaigns, interfaith activities and has been a fund raising volunteer, marathoner and walk-team mentor for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training since 1994. In the society she has completed two full marathons and three half-marathons and raised more than $30,000.00.
Although she has never had any formal training as a writer, she has written, produced and directed nearly a dozen Church productions including “Freedom’s Light” as well as the first approved stage adaptation of Michael McLean’s, “The Forgotten Carols”. She has written numerous poems, lyrics to several songs along with dozens of articles for publications such as The Church News, American River Messenger, Meridian Magazine and more than 30 Northern California newspapers. She served as the Editor of the TEMPLE TIMES during construction and open house for the Sacramento California Temple. In December 2006 she published her first book titled, “Where’s Baby Jesus?”
She has held a variety of Church callings, including Stake Director of Public Affairs during which time she was a Church volunteer during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. From August 2001 until December 2009 she served as the Director of Public Media Assistant for the Sacramento Region Public Affairs Council, and Media Spokesperson for the Sacramento California Temple during the construction and open house.
