
Boyd Jensen received a Bachelor’s Degree from CSUS, with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Journalism. He earned a Master’s Degree from CSUS, majoring in Art, History and Theory.
Boyd is currently retired, but worked for the Aerojet-General Corporation as a Photographer-Motion Analyst, taking high speed movies of rocket tests (1957-1969). He spent the majority of his career as a Graphic Artist/Photographer for KOVR-TV, Sacramento (1969-1987). Boyd has taught numerous photography courses to thousands of students at Sacramento City College, CSUS, and Cosumnes River College (1980-2001).
Boyd Jensen’s artistic body of work over a 50 year career includes: “Begin With Love, a slide show for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the first production from a stake of the Church to be distributed worldwide. “The Californias” for the California Department of Tourism; used throughout the world to increase tourism in California.
“Sacramento Illustrated” a 24 projector slide show depicting the history of Sacramento; shown for three years in the Old Eagle Theater.
Boyd produced multi-media productions for clients such as Sears Roebuck, Primary Children’s Hospital, Los Rios Community College District and the United Way. His Company, Jensen and Price, did the advertising for the Sacramento Kings for five years.
Sacramento Advertising Club Awards include a Gold Award for best billboard (1983); Gold Award, Best Still Photography (1984); Gold Award, Best Self Promotion, “Newswatch 13 Talks To You”, News Mini-series (1984); and Silver Award, Magazine Advertising, “Newswatch 13″ (1984)
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Boyd has served as Stake Young Men’s President, Stake Activities Committee Chairman, High Councilor, Bishop, Stake Presidency Counselor, Senior Missionary at the Hill Cumorah Historic Sites, and Senior Missionary to the Museum of Church History and Art.
Boyd and his late wife, Diane, were married for over 50 years and have 7 children and 34 grandchildren.

Bruce F. Anderson was born in Glendale, California, and was raised in San Gabriel, California. Bruce is a third generation Californian and a graduate of Brigham Young University in 1976 with a B.A degree in Political Science and a minor in International Relations. Married to Nancy Ashby, in 1974, in the Oakland Temple, they are the parents of four children and 2 grandchildren.
He currently serves as C.E.O. and President of Anderson Marketing, Inc. in Sacramento, California. Anderson Marketing is a nationally ranked promotional products, premium and advertising specialty firm. He began his business career in 1976, joining the family business after graduating from BYU. Bruce has served on various community boards and has been involved in various political activities over the last thirty years. In 2005, he was inducted into the NBA’s Sacramento Kings Sixth Man Hall of Frame.
Bruce has served in various positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including a mission to London England, Bishop’s Counselor, Stake Executive Secretary, Bishop, Stake Mission President, and Counselor for thirteen years in the California Sacramento Mission Presidency. He is currently serving on the High Council in the Folsom California Stake, working with Family History and Public Affairs.

John Stone was born and raised in California. He and his wife, LaDawn, have four sons and have resided in El Dorado Hills since 1999. Both John and LaDawn are active in their church, school, scouting unit and local youth sports organizations. John is a frequent coach for football and basketball teams and serves on the Board of Directors for the Positive Coaching Alliance in Sacramento.
After completing high school in Modesto, California, John served a full-time church mission in Campinas, Brazil. He then continued his education and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in economics from Brigham Young University with a minor in Portuguese. He later earned his MBA from Harvard University.
John currently runs Freepath, a Folsom-based company that provides presentation software. Freepath is one of several ventures funded by Showcase Ventures, which John founded to promote media technologies, educational programs and family entertainment. John is the executive producer of “Down and Derby”, a motion picture comedy released theatrically in 2005 and on DVD in January 2006. Previously, John was a Vice President for Apple Computer after its acquisition of PowerSchool, an educational software company he co-founded in 1999. In addition, John worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company in San Francisco and a corporate finance analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. in New York City.

Dennis Amaral grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and is a third generation native Californian. He graduated from Washington High School in Fremont then attended Merritt College in Oakland, California and the University of California in Berkeley, California.
Dennis has always been an avid reader and researcher of local history his specialty being the pre and post Gold Rush era in California and Nevada. During his research he has collected and read numerous historical books, journals, records and documents pertaining to this era of time.
Utilizing this research he is currently finishing a driving guide and historical book on the Mormon Emigrant Trail in El Dorado County, which will be finished this year.
He and his wife, Antonia, devote time as volunteer docents in Coloma, Old Town Sacramento, Sutter’s Fort, Clarksville, Colombia, Genoa Nevada and Virginia City Nevada. In addition to these duties they also participate in presentations given for local historical groups, churches and schools. Often times they use a team of horses and historic wagons as aids in their presentations as well as bringing artifacts and being attired in period correct clothing.
He currently resides in Pilot Hill, California with his lovely wife, children and some grandchildren. Some of the organizations and recognitions that he has received are listed here.

Kaye Newton was born in Salt Lake City and came to Sacramento as a baby. She has lived in Sacramento area except for about 12 years, when she married Ralph Newton and moved to Biggs. After raising their blended family, they returned to Sacramento. They have 5 children, 23 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Kaye has worked in the Property Management Industry, both owning and now retired from on-site management. She has also served in many auxiliary positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has been actively involved in Daughters of Utah Pioneers for over 25 years, serving as Camp Captain, Company President, and now on the International Board as Northern California Regional Representative for the past 7 years.

Greg was born in Oakland, California in 1946, a sixth generation Californian! Two of his third great grandfathers came to California during the Gold Rush and later brought their families out, settling in Butte and Yuba Counties. Greg’s great grand parents on his mother’s side were converted to Mormonism in Sweden at the turn of the century and emigrated to Salt Lake City, and then Oakland during the 1920’s . Greg’s paternal grandmother also moved down to Oakland from Yuba County to find work during the depression, and that is where Greg’s parent’s met and were married in 1944.
Greg went to schools in Orinda and Danville, served an LDS mission to Austrailia, and graduated from BYU Provo with a degree in Sociology and minor in genealogy. After graduation Greg returned to California in the early 1970’s and became an insurance adjuster. As public agencies began becoming self insured in the late 1970’s, Greg concentrated his claims and risk management career with self insureds. He founded Gregory B. Bragg & Associates, Inc. in 1986, growing to over 200 employees and 750 self-insured clients, which he sold to York Insurance Services in 2008, but remains a shareholder in the national company.
Greg also founded Family Tree House in 1988, which was a retail supplier of genealogy books, forms, and software. The company was expanded to carry California and Western Americana and used and rare LDS books and renamed Mormonabilia in 2000. In 2010, Greg also purchased Cover to Cover Books in Roseville, California and enjoys the book business.
In 2001 Greg purchased and restored his first pioneer home in Nauvoo, Illinois. Nauvoo Management Group was founded in 2003 and now the company and its subsidiaries own 20 properties, including the Hyrum Smith Farm. In addition, Nauvoo Property Services is a property management firm managing 15 vacation homes and over 30 properties overall. Greg has been involved in the planning and remodeling of twenty historic homes in Nauvoo, Illinois.
Greg has been a member of several risk management associations as a “pioneer” in that industry. His love of history has brought him membership in genealogical societies, the LDS Bookseller’s Association, the Mormon History Association the John Whitmer Historical Association, and the California Pioneer Heritage Foundation where he is responsible for liason with other historical foundations.
Greg lives with his wife Kathleen in the family home in Granite Bay where they have lived for over 30 years. They have 13 children combined and 33 grandchildren, many living in the area.
